Can’t decide on one color or finish for your kitchen? Mix it up!
As long as you don’t go overboard, having a few finishes or even cabinet colors in your kitchen can make it feel less “bed in a bag” (you remember, the matching sheets, pillows, and comforter sets from the 90’s!)
In this 1920’s Hyde Park home we wanted to keep the kitchen feeling traditional to fit in with the rest of the home, but also wanted to bring in some modern touches to keep things fresh.
We settled on white cabinets on the perimeter with a furniture piece island. And for our modern touch, we added a stainless steel range hood with brass straps. Traditional yet not boring – don’t ya think?
